What Inspires You At Home

Healthy Living At Home

If you live an exhausted and anxious life we need to look at your home environment. Healthy living at home begins with what inspires you at home.

If you want to change how you feel as you walk through the door into your house you need a space to wrap around you that you love.

Indeed there are issues at home we all must deal with. From the significant other to children and even our furry friends demands still exist.

Beyond these needs we still must have our space to let go in which exists for only ourselves. Some may find it easier to work with an interior designer to achieve these concepts.

Nevertheless they are easily achievable to do yourself.

If you come to know my writing you will soon see that I hate fluff pieces and articles. My objectives are to deal with either what is best and of value or issues we face and how to create a better home environment.

This issue is one that in my life I take to heart.

In The Comfort Of Home

You can shop for front room furnishings or a new living room lounge but is this a space that you can own as yours? Instead of thinking in terms of items for the home think of space.

If I could I would create an isolation chamber where no one could reach me and throw my phone into the yard. It is not that I am antisocial, rather I just enjoy my alone time.

In a way I have achieved this with my art studio. It is separate from the home and within its own world.

While my inspirational space is not immediately within the house it still is home. There I can become lost within my world of creating art and the world slips by me.

For those who deal with anxiety or excessive stress a space such as this is important for health. Healthy living at home requires more than a counselor or a referee.

There is a need to be you and let the bottled up issues out while recharging and regaining composure from the day. It is as it were a mental and emotional reset.

I have known some people to use a walk in closet for this purpose, as odd as that sounds for them it works. Others have a nook or corner for working out and this too can achieve the same effect.

No matter how you define that space we need to go deeper into what is within that space of your home.

Artsy Backgrounds

When you realize that people at times need to carve out whatever space they can for themselves decorating can be difficult.

When my friend mentioned they use their walk in closet as their space clearly this is not a high decor zone of the home. Yet a space needs something if it is only artsy backgrounds to help shift ones focus.

Work out spaces are easier to focus in on than a closet. Better yet if one can steal away one room of the house you can begin to really customize something for yourself.

The real question becomes how does one add to this space things that will benefit your well being and mind?

For each person this will be different yet there are things we all need to look for. Having said this. it is good to know that natural settings have proven to help everyone in their endeavors.

The answer goes back to the starting title of this article, what inspires you? For some this will be inspirational quotes or scenery.

As for myself I find artwork and machinery to be what I love. I know that is an odd combination for most people.

It is a good thing I am an artist which uses machinery. My wood art studio is perfect for what I need. Tap into your creative inspiration.

What To Do If No Space Is Available?

Some homes are crowded. Big families are nice but offer little space for privacy or letting go. So what does one do if no space is available to use?

There could always be a small remodel of attic or basement space in your future. Yet if this is not an option there are alternatives.

Just as my studio is detached from my physical home the proverbial she shed could be installed. Getting out of the house sometimes is the only real option for some.

A porch or deck can serve the same function as a room. These places can also be surrounded with home decor of your liking or inspirational pieces used to create the atmosphere you need.

It could be as simple as using a hammock between two trees with a good book in hand to fill what you need. Yet when there is no space within the home you must create a space somewhere that is for you.

The purpose of things like decor and art is for more than making a home pretty. It holds the capacity to create an atmosphere. One can use nature in the same way and it is the best atmosphere in many cases.

Comfort At Home

Many in the market tailor their material to simply sell you things. Indeed I too clearly need to sell something to feed my family yet that is not my focus here.

Few people buy artwork for comfort spaces. I have seen it happen a few times yet most often art is used as impression pieces for larger rooms.

My niche with wood art incorporates more personal and smaller works adding natural elements which can enhance any space large or small.

The key is within natural elements. For thousands of years we were more connected to nature than we are now. There is something within us that is drawn to the natural world.

Comfort at home begins with what inspires you and then is impacted by what you personally need. Yet through this space there should be some element from the natural world that you can connect with.

Various plants can help with this but within my spaces I also use aquariums. Within the aquarium are live plants which grow under water adding color and a natural environment. It is its own ecosystem.

The ideas I am bringing forward do not revolve around what I can sell you but rather I wish to bring an important point to the front of your mind. Your comfort is important. You are important.

Each day the demands of others must be met whether at work or at home leaving little that is left for you. You not only need this space but you are worth having it as yours.

Life Impact On Home Settings

One of the rising issues within the world today is the rise of issues surrounding anxiety and stress. In our world there is more medication given for these ills of society than most other problems people can have.

Yet what happens when we do not afford ourselves what we need in terms of space?

Home design by nature is too cookie cutter when we look at the average home. A house may cost a fortune yet it often lacks individual space beyond one room.

Typically this room is a bedroom which is personalized for either child or adult. Unfortunately this single room can become a multipurpose room for personal activities which then is crowded to support our needs.

A bedroom is not an ideal space for multiple functions. This becomes more evident as a master bedroom is often shared by two rather than one.

This does not allow for you to regroup and recharge. The inability for the family to have the necessary space can impact the environment for all involved.

We tend to bring things home with us that in reality we shouldn’t but it is something we cannot stop. These agitators of life then begin to impact other family members as we naturally need and seek an outlet.

Unfortunately this outlet can be on another family member and this is most often unintentional. When this happens the harmony and unity of the family is at risk and the emotional with mental state can begin to decline.

As time progresses forward this impact becomes amplified and home is no longer the sanctuary that it should be. While it is to be a shelter from the storm we bring the storm inside with us.

The comfort is lost and tension builds. It is important that the home space remain as the shelter we need. Our outlets should not be on each other. Something is needed for change.

A Little Elbow Room

The ability to momentarily detach is required at some point by everyone. While we may all accomplish this in different ways it does not remove the fact that this is a basic need.

A little elbow room is needed for us to accomplish this within life.

We all have our morning rituals that we follow. Some are morning people and are up early to get the day started.

Others drag themselves out of bed leaving a mess behind as they rush out the door. While some habits may need modification, our ritual of coming home is often set into motion by chaos.

This needs greater modification than the start of the day.

Time needs to be made to allow the elbow room. The space must be carved out in order to achieve this. It needs to incorporate things of beauty and what inspires you.

If you need certain decor, art, even if it is like me in needing machinery, have those things there. It is your outlet to regain focus on what really is important.

This should be tailored for you. You should not be disturbed while in this place. Yet the need for elbow room is about more than space. Too often with our modern life it is also about time.

Never Enough Time

What is the point of having a beautiful home if we cannot enjoy it? What is the point of having our personal space if we cannot use it? The biggest problem most have is our inability to make time for ourselves.

While this is a separate issue from a home and our spaces within it there is no doubt about the correlation between the two.

If we allow ourselves to become involved in too much it becomes impossible to let go. Rushed from one thing to the next we find ourselves continually pushed to no end.

This is like lighting a fuse then ignoring what it is connected to. We treat it as if there are no consequences to what is done.

There is a desperate need in the world to realign time. I understand that the kids have sports and activities can be important. Yet this should never stand in the way of well being whether this is personal in nature or for the entire family.

Time is a valuable asset. Once it is spent it cannot be recovered. If we are to use our time to make the greatest impact possible it should be treated as our greatest asset.

It is in fact more valuable than money.

Our time spend on ourselves for our peace of mind and body cannot be treated as a thrift shop item. Likewise time spent with family on tasks or events does not equal quality.

There is a need to build this quality time within the home to restructure its state of well being with less focus on strictly external activities.

If we are not careful we will continue to find ourselves so focused on the outside things that we forget what is more important on the inside. This speaks to individual needs as well as those of the family in how we interact with each other.

To build lasting strong relationships with those we love the environment we create around us must support us.

Our challenge today is creating these spaces within our homes literally in terms of a place to be and also figuratively in the time we have. It may be necessary to evaluate ones life and how we utilize our resources that we possess.

We need to once again define what is it that is most important in life. What we nurture today will become our tomorrow. What we teach our children will be duplicated for theirs.
