Critical Errors Artists Make Following Art Marketing Advice
This is in response to an article by Lori McNee at the Artists Network. Some of the advice that is given can cause serious damage to any artists online brand.
I have written about learning how to market art online. This will be the first time I have written a rebuttal piece due to how bad the suggestions are.
A platform can be any location where independent artists share their work with the world. This definition is important for it can also incorporate historically traditional venues.
While today we often think of a platform involving the internet, it does not always. Nevertheless I will bring out the key components of which platforms are the most critical and best to have.
In the most simplistic terms, scale in art is the comparison by size of objects within the art to other objects. Scale is naturally recognized by the human eye in building associations.
If Scale in art is intended to appear natural, we gain depth, a sense of distance, and maintain natural realism within the art. This is achieved due to the relative positioning and size between objects.
Any woodworker would know the practice of using screws or nails. The question of whether or not they should be used in wood artwork can be an issue.
There will be times when it is unavoidable. This matter really comes down to a few key factors. What is the purpose, design, and skill level of the wood artist.
